The Pied Bull is proud to have the only micro-brewery within the City Walls of Chester. Our keg and cask beers are all hand crafted by our award-winning master brewer, Richard Sedgewick, who selects hops and malts from all over the world to create a range of stunning beers that cover all types of real ale. From traditional bitters, Pale ales, IPAs, Red ales and Porters, we’re sure you’ll find something to wet your whistle!

In 2024 we also launched Chester Lager! A golden and flavourful 4.1% innovation, Chester Lager is produced using the highest quality ingredients in our microbrewery.

Brewery Tours

We also offer tours of our onsite microbrewery located right underneath the bar – the perfect present for any beer lover!

Brewery tours consist of a 45 minute tour plus beer tasting and are priced at £19.95 per person. You will also receive 20% off food and drink following your tour.
