We’re raising a glass in celebration here at The Pied Bull, as our very own Minotaur beer has been awarded Gold in the North West Regional Champion Beer of Britain Awards!
Brewed right here on site in our historic cellar microbrewery – the only one of its kind in Chester – Minotaur has become a favourite among both locals and visitors. This latest recognition is a huge honour, and we couldn’t be prouder to see our handcrafted brew earn top marks among some of the region’s best. Minotaur was also voted ‘Beer of the Festival – Overall Winner’!

The award is a testament to the passion, care, and craftsmanship of our Master Brewer Richard, who works tirelessly to create beers that reflect both our heritage and innovation. Operating from the cellar of a building that dates back to the 11th century, we believe every pint we serve carries a piece of our story — and now, it’s carrying gold too!
